Hi! I’m Lucy — a slightly chaotic, mildly sweary, very enthusiastic self-taught dressmaker living in Somerset with my three girls, two dogs, a very patient husband, and an accidental flock of sheep.
If you’re someone who sews, stitches, makes, tinkers, unpicks, experiments, throws fabric across the room occasionally, or just likes following someone else’s creative journey… you’re in the right place.

About Me
I’m Lucy — a self-taught dressmaker who started sewing at fifteen with a cheap Brother machine and a lot of misplaced confidence. Fast forward a couple of decades and I’ve sewn everything from bras to ball gowns, coats, corsets, kids’ clothes, and plenty of projects that made me laugh, cry, or swear (sometimes all three).
I still make mistakes.
I still unpick seams.
I still wrestle with invisible zips.
I still learn new things every single week.
And I love sharing all of it here — the real journey, not the polished version.
